Bridal Make Up Services Terms and Conditions

BOOKING RETAINER 

Previews and wedding day services are secured upon receipt of a £100 retainer paid via bank transfer. Receipt of the retainer payment confirms and secures Mori’s availability for both the client’s makeup preview and wedding day on the agreed dates and times. 

The retainer is deducted from the client’s final balance. Enquiries for which a retainer has not been paid are not confirmed and therefore availability cannot be guaranteed and Mori’s services are not formally secured. 

Retainers are non-refundable once a makeup preview has taken place - this is to cover the cost of the makeup preview and the administration costs of dealing with the enquiry. 

FINAL BALANCE PAYMENT 

The client’s remaining balance may be paid at any time via bank transfer, but is due no later than 7 days prior to the client’s wedding date. 

NON PREVIEW SURCHARGE 

A bridal makeup preview is a compulsory service and part of the bridal booking. Only under exceptional circumstances will a bridal booking be confirmed without a preview (for e.g. the client lives abroad and is not able to attend a preview prior to wedding date.) Bookings without a preview will be considered on an individual client by client basis and are entirely at Mori’s discretion.

If it is deemed appropriate and a bridal booking is secured without a preview, an additional charge of 30% will be applied to the wedding day service price (bride only). An additional time allocation of up to 30 minutes may also be required to allow sufficient time for a complete consultation to take place prior to makeup application. Note: the £100 retainer fee is still applicable upon booking to secure Mori’s services and is only refundable if 30 days cancellation notice is given prior to the client’s wedding date. 

ADDITIONAL ARTIST FEE

For larger bridal bookings and/or bookings with limited preparation time; it may be necessary to hire an additional artist to join Mori in getting the client’s bridal party ready. If this is the case, an additional fee of £50 per additional artist hired is applicable. This is to cover administration costs and the additional work of finding, securing and scheduling another artist. The additional artist will create and send their own invoice - via Mori to the client- to reflect their individual pricing. This will be discussed during the booking process. 

The additional artist fee does not apply if the client finds an additional artist themselves and liaises with them directly. 

TRAVEL EXPENSES 

Travel anywhere within a 10 mile distance from Blandford Forum is free. After that, each mile is charged at £1 to cover fuel and travel time (50p fuel + 50p travel time). Road distances/mileage are calculated using an online journey planner and travel expenses will reflect the suggested mileage given. 

Depending on distance and location alternative methods of transportation - other than car - may be required (such as rail or flight). This will be discussed and agreed with the client during the booking process. 

ACCOMODATION & SUBSISTENCE EXPENSES 

Accommodation expenses are incurred for services where Mori would have to leave her home address on or before 5:30am. Mori will always endeavour to find the most cost-effective option if accommodation is required. This will be discussed and agreed with the client during the booking process. 

Additionally, £50 will be charged for subsistence for every 24 hours spent away from home. 

CANCELLATIONS 

If the client wishes to cancel their wedding day booking, they must do so via email at their earliest convenience giving Mori as much notice as possible. 

The booking retainer payment of £100 is non-refundable if the client’s makeup preview has already taken place - this is to cover the cost of the makeup preview and the administration costs of dealing with the enquiry. 

If the client’s makeup preview has not taken place but the £100 booking retainer has been paid, 100% of the monies will be refunded within 14 days of cancellation as long as 30 days or more notice has been given prior to the client’s wedding date. 

If the client has paid any additional payments towards the final balance (excluding the £100 retainer fee) these are refundable if 30 days or more notice has been given prior to the client’s wedding date. Any additional payments to be refunded will be processed back into the client’s bank account within 14 days of cancellation. If 30 days notice is not given, 100% of the monies paid by the client will be retained - this is to cover administration and opportunity costs. 

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES 

It is the clients responsibility to inform Mori of any potential issues; such as but not limited to: medical conditions, allergies, and/or sensitivities. Neither Mori nor any additional artist can be held liable for any condition that arises or loss incurred by the client if the client has not informed Mori or the additional artist of any known conditions as stated above, or of any conditions unknown to the client at the time of the service. 

Mori and/or the additional artist reserve the right to cancel any makeup services if the behaviour of the client is deemed inappropriate and/or if the client reports a condition that is deemed a risk to either the client’s or Mori’s/artist’s health and well-being. In these cases any payments that have already been made by the client for the service are non-refundable. 

ARTIST RESPONSIBILITY 

Mori will always endeavour to honour the agreement to the best of her ability. 

There may be circumstances beyond Mori’s control where she is too unwell to work, delayed or otherwise unavailable. In such a case Mori will inform the client at the earliest convenience and endeavour to make favourable alternative arrangements if possible and necessary. 

Mori reserves the right to offer the client compensation in the event that she is not able to honour the agreement. This is entirely dependent on the circumstances and will be discussed openly and honestly with the client. 

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT DETAILS 

PHOTOGRAPHY & USE OF IMAGES 

Photographs and videos taken of the client, party and/or event may be used by Mori in any promotional material unless the client tells Mori otherwise. The client reserves the right to withdraw consent at any point and once this is communicated to Mori, Mori will remove any and all images/videos of the client within 24 hours.

CHANGES TO SERVICES AFTER BOOKING

Once the client has confirmed the number of makeup services required and has paid the retainer fee, these services cannot be reduced and/or refunded. If a bridal party member changes their mind and no longer wishes to receive a makeup service, the original quoted balance remains the same whether the service is completed or not. If additional services are requested after original booking, these will only be available if time allows - this will be discussed and confirmed between Mori and the client. 

MAKEUP SERVICE DELAYS 

All clients involved in makeup services need to be ready and available at their scheduled time. Each makeup service requires a certain length of time to be finished and if there are delays for any reason, adaptations and simplification may be required to finish the makeup look within the allocated time slot. This is to ensure the schedule runs as initially planned so as not to effect any other members of the bridal party. 

MAXIMUM TIME ALLOCATION FOR MAKEUP PREVIEWS 

The maximum time that Mori can spend on any one preview is 2 hours. Any additional time required for previews will have to be booked as an additional preview and will incur an additional preview fee. 

MAXIMUM TIME ALLOCATION FOR BRIDAL PARTY MAKEUP ON THE WEDDING DAY

The maximum time that Mori can spend on any one bridal party members makeup is one hour, unless discussed and agreed prior to the wedding day. This is to ensure the wedding day schedule flows as planned and to make it fair for each bridal party member.

REPEAT MAKEUP PREVIEWS 

If a second makeup preview is requested the same fee applies as for the first preview. 

MINIMUM BOOKING REQUIREMENT FOR BRIDAL SERVICES

Wedding dates during peak season (April-October) hold a minimum booking requirement of bride plus at least 2 other bridal party members. If the client doesn’t have additional bridal party members who wish to receive makeup services, a minimum spend to the same value as bride + 2 is required.

INDIVIDUAL LASHES 

Individual lash application is included in the price for the makeup service, there is no reduction in price for any makeup service if they are declined. 

FLOWER GIRLS / UNDER 12'S MAKEUP SERVICES 

Makeup services for client’s who are up to 12 years old are complimentary. This will only include lip gloss, blusher, and shimmery eyeshadow application. If a more complete makeup service is required the full bridesmaid’s fee will apply. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT BY SECURING A BOOKING AND/OR PURCHASING A PRODUCT OR SERVICE THE CLIENT ACCEPTS THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
